About me
I am Steye Vermunicht, a Belgian artist bringing imaginary characters to life through murals, tattoos, sculptures and illustration.
I’m basically just a guy who never really left his childhood imagination behind. Through my work, I try to make that imaginary world feel real. Storytelling is central in everything I create. The same characters return across different artworks and mediums.
My work revolves around a recurring cast of characters, each with their own name and personality. I like to think of it as a television series: every artwork is a new episode, but the characters and the world around them remain the same.
Whether they appear on a large wall, as a tattoo, inside a painting or as a life-sized sculpture; they all belong to the same growing universe.
